The "Spanglish" Sandwich
If you haven't seen the movie.
Adam Sandler plays a chef. He makes the ultimate "chef at home" sandwich.
I started with thick sliced bacon. I like to cook bacon in the oven on a baking sheet.
More even cooking. Better grease control.
I found a loaf of wheat french bread which I sliced into long diagonal cuts.
I toasted them in a bit of the bacon grease.
Then comes the bacon.
If I'm ever unemployed, I can get a job as a short order cook. I know how to flip an egg. Cook the egg to over-medium/ AKA slightly runny.
Egg goes on top of bacon.
Next comes tomato. Maybe a bit a pepper and salt here.
A leaf of romaine lettuce.
A horizontal view of the finished product.
Ready for eating!

Hey, D4!!!
ReplyDeleteThought I'd post a "Howdy" to ya', since I haven't heard from you in a while...
And I was thinking you might enjoy something I received from that retired Army Artillery Colonel friend of mine...
A video of an incredilble RF-control airplane, a B-29, built with four chain saw engines as its propulsion! See, below!
